If the sun does not shine how do I charge my batteries?
The batteries we use can be charged from both the grid or solar installation . However, installing with solar allows you to receive the 30% investment tax credit.
How long do the batteries last?
The batteries Radical Solar Energy uses are warrantied for 10-15 years with daily cycling but have been proven to last longer. Tesla Powerwall batteries utilize the same technology in their vehicles, which are currently lasting 400,000+ miles!
Are the batteries safe?
Yes, The battery Radical Solar Energy uses is made up of Lithium Ion Ferrous phosphate, which means it will not "catch fire" like some car batteries. They are quiet, touchsafe, and indoor/outdoor rated.
